About Me
Hi — Bienvenida. I’m Edalmarys Santos Bradford (you can also call me Edal, in English pronounced like pedal). My pronouns are she/her/ella.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC, FL#MH15636, in Florida offering secure online therapy.
With 15+ years of clinical experience, I specialize in anxiety, depression, and substance use. I work especially with Latina and Latine professionals navigating the intersection of career, family, and cultural identity — using evidence-based, collaborative, and culturally attuned care.
Born and partly raised on la isla de Puerto Rico. Outside the virtual office I like to be in community with family and friends. I enjoy traveling to the mountains, reading with a hot cafecito, and community engagement.
Who I Help
You’re leading at work, caring for family, and holding cultural responsibilities with quiet strength. You make it look flawless.
Everyone sees you as confident, competent, organized, and successful. But on the inside, you often feel emotionally drained, stretched thin, and unsure where to put your own needs.
You value family and community, and you want to succeed professionally, but often you feel stuck between two worlds.
You hold yourself to impossibly high standards, and that pressure is leaving you exhausted, stuck, and unsure how to rest without feeling guilty.
What I can help with
Perfectionism — High standards keep you productive but also exhausted and unable to pause without feeling guilty.
New motherhood — Transition challenges, identity shifts, sleep disruption, and readjusting to life after having a baby.
Burnout — Persistent exhaustion, and rest feels out of reach.
Cultural identity and bicultural stress — Navigating expectations across cultures, family roles, language, and belonging.
Anxiety — Worry or tension make daily tasks and decisions harder.
Depression — Low mood, sadness, loss of interest, or changes in sleep or appetite makes it harder to engage at work or home.
Stress and coping patterns — alcohol or substance use to cope with stress, sleep, or emotional pain.
My approach
My approach is Person-Centered, meaning our sessions are a judgment-free zone where your values and your pace are respected, and you can show up as you are.
I believe in collaboration: we’ll name what’s happening, make sense of it together, and build practical steps that honor who you are and your values.
We can integrate three powerful frameworks while we work together to find clarity and relief:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Together, we can gently examine your internal scripts. We can identify the thought patterns that lead to burnout, and practice shifting them into beliefs that offer more grace and flexibility.
Solution-Focused Techniques: We will look for the small, manageable glimmers of what is already working for you. We can focus on your strengths and identify clear, actionable steps to help you reclaim your time and energy.
Systems & Identity Awareness: Your mental health doesn't exist in a vacuum. We'll explore how your culture, environment, identities, and the systems around you shape your experience. In this space we will identify, acknowledge, and challenge systems of oppression which are directly impacting your mental health.
